This website

No cookies, no analytics. It's hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps short technical logs (like any web server) to keep the site running and safe.

Buying

Payments are made through Polar, who sell Clipse for alnor as the merchant of record. Polar handles your payment details, invoices and taxes. See Polar's privacy policy. I see your name, email and country for each order, so I can help you with it.

The app

• Your license: when you enter a key, and once a day after that, the app sends the key and your computer's name to Polar to check it. That's how a key is limited to 5 computers.
• The trial: when you first open it, and once a day while you try it, the app sends alnor.store a scrambled code for your computer. The site keeps that code and the day your trial started, so installing again doesn't start a new trial. It's deleted after 3 months.
• Updates: once a day it asks alnor.store whether there's a newer version. You can turn this off in Settings › About.
• Nothing else leaves your computer. Your clips, projects and settings stay on it.
• Send feedback sends alnor.store what you write, the pictures you add and, if you leave them in, the app's logs and settings (they hold clip names and folder paths), with your email if you give one. Ask and I'll delete it.
